Netcraft and Hindustan Times report that a ship may have severed Sri Lanka's connection to the world by dropping its anchor and cutting the cable. Kinda reminds me of the case when an excavator hit an instant popularity jackpot in Sofia by cutting a big telephone cable and leaving most of the Druzhba district with no telephone or Internet (dialup or broadband) at all for a day or so.
